It has been a very hectic and exciting few months. My 'iPad for Dementia and Cognitive Impairment Program' won an award in May for 'Excellence in Continuing Care' at a major metropolitan Area Health Service. Over the year I have also been involved in demonstrating the program at three residential care facilities undergoing Accreditation. The feedback from the accreditors was really fantastic. Hopefully this will help to encourage more facilities to offer the opportunities of touchscreens and digital technology.
The next post will look at the question, 'Can significantly visually impaired people gain any benefit from touchscreen technology?'
